Welcome to the Sleep Sutras, guiding you to restful sleep & vitality.
Because good sleep isn't a luxury, it's a necessity.
Healthy Hedonism is now The Sleep Sutras. Whether you're grappling with insomnia, night time stress or simply want to wake up feeling rested — I've got your back!
Hello,
If you're here, you're witnessing a shift—a shift in what I have been drawn to dive into and make the focus of my work for over two years now. I call it a 21st century epidemic that’s silently affecting millions.
Here are it’s symptoms
Stressful workdays spill over into restless nights.
You are up at 3 a.m, mind racing, unable to drift back to sleep.
You wake up drained, even after following perfect sleep routines.
You accepting that poor sleep is just part of adulting—something you simply have to live with.
Studies show that 1 in 3 adults experience insomnia at some point and for 1 in 10 affected, insomnia becomes chronic.
Ayurveda (an ancient holistic healing system that originated in India over 3,000 years ago) recognises sleep as a foundational pillar of health. Poor sleep therefore isn’t just an inconvenience—it’s a crisis.
When we accept poor sleep as our normal, we’re saying yes to fatigue, mood swings, memory loss, higher risks of heart disease, a weak immune system and slower recovery times.
Poor sleep affects more than just our physical health. In my practice, I see ripple effects on performance, intimate relationships and confidence. If you’ve ever dreaded an evening out with friends or worried about sharing your bed with a new partner because you’ll “be a wreck tomorrow,” you know exactly what I mean!
Here is the win-win
Balancing work, parenting, care giving…can make restful sleep seem a luxury reserved for weekends and vacations. It does not have to be!
Restful sleep does not have to mean retreating from business as usual. It is about bringing a few minutes of nurture into your daily grind. You don’t just fix your sleep but you uplift the quality of your day.
What’s coming?
3000 year old wisdom of Ayurveda and Yoga meets insights from modern scientific research. Twice a month, we’ll explore:
Circadian rhythms: making your internal body clock an ally.
Cortisol & Serotonin regulation: managing stress hormones.
Gut health: cultivating brain health through nutrition.
Somatic stress release: releasing anxiety and tension.
If this resonates, join me and stay tuned!
With Love,
Gayatri
