Cleanse, detox, nurture your creative energy...
What to expect in the spring edition of Healthy Hedonism?
Welcome to the spring edition of Healthy Hedonism!
Meet Palaash. Palaash is to India, the country of my birth what Cherry blossom is to Japan. It’s bloom marks the end of winter in northern India. We call it the Flame of the Forest…

The petals are used to make a dye. Kesari, (saffron in Hindi) is a color you will spot very often in Hindu spring festivities.
Each blossom is home to seeds that will grow into a whole new tree. Think about it for a second — so much promise held in a single flower!
Now I know what Emily Dickenson meant when she wrote “To be a flower is profound responsibility”!
Just like a Palaash tree in bloom after a long winter sleep, your body too is ready for renewal.
As you transition to longer days, more sunlight, warmer weather…your body is ready to let go of the winter heaviness and lighten things up. This a good time to fast, detox, rejuvenate your tissues, shed kilos if they are weighing you down and nurture your sexual energy.
How to keep all of this practical and pleasurable is exactly what I will talk about for the next few weeks —1 note in your inbox every week!
Until next week,
Take care!
